Bio:

Mr. Sampson is a life long entrepreneur who has successfully built, sold and merged a number of businesses across a wide array of industries. What spurred Mr. Sampson to build Secure Symbology into the technologically dominant anti-counterfeiting powerhouse that it quickly has become was a 2003 trip to Asia where he saw a great deal of manufacturing prowess, but little governmental controls that could insure against the misuse of the great manufacturing capacity across a wide variety of products. Given his passion for using leading-edge technologies to create or improve processes and outcomes, Mr. Sampson has developed and patented more than a dozen methods and systems for achieving unit-level serialization of prescription and OTC drugs to prevent counterfeit medications and to protect the pharma industry alike. Before launching Secure Symbology, Mr. Sampson was the founder, Chairman and CEO of ECI Conference Call Services, a company with more than 300 employees and $40 million in annual revenue. Mr. Sampson was instrumental in structuring the sale of ECI to Teligent in September 2000, its repurchase from Teligent in January 2002, and its merger with West/Intercall in December 2004. As a result of Mr. Sampson's business acumen and overall business success, he has garnered many prestigious rewards, including: Inc. Magazine's Inc. 500 Company, from 1996 to 1999; NJ Business News' New Jersey's Finest Company Award, 1996 to 1999; Ernst & Young Business Services Entrepreneur of the Year 1997; the Massachusetts Mutual United States Commerce & Industry Award, 1998; and induction into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame in 1999. Most recently, Mr. Sampson received the NJBiz Magazine sponsored, New Jersey's 2007 Emerging Business of the Year Award. Mr. Sampson's industry affiliations include the Healthcare Distribution Management Association, (HDMA), Electronic product Code (EPC) Global Association, EPCIS Association, and the New Jersey Technology Council, to mention a few. Mr. Sampson holds various board seats on for-profit companies, in addition to extensive charitable organization involvement. Additionally, Mr. Sampson is a lifetime member of the Chief Executive Officers Club, a professional group that he has been affiliated with for over 15 years.
