Bio:

Terry is a marketing expert. He has twenty-five years of business experience as Marketing Director of Tongaat Foods and Beacon Sweets & Chocolates the latter company being the largest confectionery manufacturer in South Africa and one of the largest single confectionery manufacturing facilities in the world. During this period, he also spent seven years in the United Kingdom. He has considerable export marketing experience in both Europe and the USA.

Dr Berkow currently teaches at both the Universities of Stellenbosch and Witwatersrand Business Schools.

He was a Programme Director at the Centre for Management Development, at London Business School.

He was responsible for the design and development of customised personal development and training programmes for corporate clients. He has also taught at Babson College in Boston USA.

He has consulting and management training experience with several multinational groups including Sanlam, Sasol, National Brands, Kimberley-Clark, Dunlop, Volkswagen, Unilever, Dimension Data, Microsoft, and Storck AG. He holds a BA degree in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and a DBA from the University of Stellenbosch. Within marketing his fields of special interest are strategic brand management, branding architecture, retailing, and product development.

Terry is now CEO of the International Division for the Academy for Chief Executives.
