Bio:

Ms. Kim Hansen has been a key contributor in the success of Lone Star Web and has been instrumental in the overall growth and direction of the company since 1993. Ms. Hansen is an inspiration to everyone she is around, her energy and spirit motivates the entire team. Ms. Hansen plays a significant part in all accomplishments and standards set by Lone Star Web and the national role it plays in the Direct Mail industry today recently ranked 18th by the Dallas Business Journal 2007 report, as well as the 22nd largest WBE in the State of Texas.  Under the leadership of Ms. Hansen Lone Star Web has grown each year with increased sales by 13% in 2007.

In her capacity Ms. Hansen is responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial printing / manufacturing facility that runs 24/7, with 58 full-time employees resulting in the manufacturing of over 740MM pieces of direct mail annually.  She is a veteran experienced presenter, accustomed to working with sales team, charitable sponsors and customer service staff on new business presentations or team building.  She possesses a strong ability to establish a rapport with individuals and groups on all organizational levels.  She also enjoys event coordinating.  She is experienced in working with print, radio, and newsprint and television mediums on all levels. She is very strong in developing partnership and or relationships built on trust and respect with clients, vendors and staff to ensure solutions that meet clients’ and or sponsors goals within budget guidelines and on deadline.

Over the past 15 years Ms. Hansen has served in a variety of management and executive management positions guiding the direction of Customer Service and Marketing, Accounting and Human Resource departments, as well as Prepress and Print Production.

In 2005 Ms. Hansen purchased all remaining shares of Lone Star Web, Inc. from her husband and her mother-in-law establishing her position as the sole owner.   

Ms. Hansen’s out of the box thinking is never content with “business as usual” methods, therefore always striving to position Lone Star Web one step ahead in the market and in customer satisfaction. Ms. Hansen is focused on strategic planning through high impact business initiatives and coordinating any and all activities related to the implementation of Lone Star Web’s strategic plan, with a strong focus on diversified services through capital equipment technology research. Ms. Hansen attends both local and national Graphic Arts trade shows, as well as local and national Direct Marketing Shows. Through business experience, customer feedback, new graphic arts technology research, Direct Marketing trends, and her vision, Ms. Hansen continues to exceed even her own high goals for Lone Star Web.

A large part of Ms. Hansen’s strategic plan includes creating more visibility for Lone Star Web through her marketing efforts of company branding. Ms. Hansen re-wrote the company mission statement to better reflect the company in today’s market place. She is environmentally responsible and passionate about public policy and the affects that each has on small business owners and their employees.  

She remains the driving force for all levels of Lone Star Web’s employees continuing educational and training programs.

Recognizing the benefits of women managers in business, Ms. Hansen takes a special interest in developing, promoting and mentoring women in all levels of business placing a strong focus on women in management at Lone Star Web.  

Ms. Hansen took Lone Star Web to a new level with separating her company from the competition when she obtained certification for (WBE) Women Business Enterprise through the national council WBENC, as well as obtaining her certification with the State of Texas as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), but more importantly she made history as the first web continuous forms printer in the Southwest to become certified by Smartwood for FSC certification Third Party Chain-of-Custody with the Forest Stewardship Council .

Ms. Hansen is in the process of launching an Eco Awareness Campaign as well as Leadership Mentoring for Community Service, educating her vendors on the role that Women Owned Businesses WBE’s play in procurement on a national scale, as well as the importance of Public Policy in Corporate America.

In spite of a full schedule Ms. Hansen, still serves the community by supporting charitable organizations benefiting women, children and the elderly and is often celebrated and recognized for her efforts.
